China Implements Visa-Free Policy Trial for Five South American Countries

Starting from June 1, China will implement a trial visa-free policy for five countries, including Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Peru, and Uruguay.
At a regular press conference on Thursday (May 15), Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian announced that, to further facilitate cross-border travel, China has decided to expand its visa-free policy coverage. From June 1, 2025, to May 31, 2026, ordinary passport holders from Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Peru, and Uruguay will be eligible for visa-free entry.
Holders of ordinary passports from these five countries will be allowed to enter China without a visa for business, tourism, family visits, exchanges, or transit stays of up to 30 days.
